Our Internal Auditor training takes a new approach of what can be seen as a challenging topic at first.
The course will provide you with an understanding of how to approach and conduct an Audit through practical scenarios supported by theory. You will learn key skills and techniques needed to be an effective and confident internal auditor for any internal management system including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001. Group discussions and practical exercise will also demonstrate the importance of implementing and following up corrective actions to make the most of your management systems.
It’s an ideal introduction to the subject if you are:
- New to the internal auditor role
- Training colleagues to run audits
- Keen to maximise the business benefits of running a management system
No prior internal auditor experience is required although this course is also a good refresher for anyone whose auditing skills have become a little rusty.
If a group of you need training, you may find our on-site training is a more cost effective option. It also allows us to make the training bespoke to your organisation.
When booking your place on the course you will be enrolled on to our Online Learning modules: Introduction to ISO 9001 and / or Introduction to ISO 27001. These will set the scene for the day by giving you the chance to gain basic understanding of the management system/s prior to attending the course.
On the day:
The course will follow the below agenda with plenty of opportunity for group discussion and questions & answers.
- An overview of management systems
- The purpose of an audit
- How to approach an audit
- Maximising the benefits of monitoring and procedure control
- How to identify negative trends and rectify them
- How to identify positive trends and maximise them
- A practical auditing exercise with individual feedback
- Knowledge quiz
Post-training Experimental Learning:
Our training experts have found that experimental learning is the most important part of embedding the learning of Internal Auditing and closing the learning cycle. Our experience shows that this proves to be more beneficial when it links directly to your organisation, its management system(s) and processes.
To achieve this, after your attendance to the Training course, we propose a further ½ a day support visit at your premises to carry out practical auditing for £450 plus VAT. We would advise anyone who is involved in the development and maintenance of your management systems to attend this visit.
